The power of a quote can instantly change someone's life. It's crazy to think about how much power one quote has. After asking my friends what quotes stick with them, I realized that every single person has at least one they have memorized. Before you read on, think about any quote. You can probably think of at least one or two. A common one that most of my friends memorized is, "Be yourself, everyone else is taken." Powerful words from the man himself, Oscar Wilde. Why do these quotes stick with us so much? In my opinion, quotes gives us hope, something to think about, and it even becomes a mantra, a way of living. Even something small like, "don't lie," sticks with us. My mom hounds me with that all the time, and to this day I will not lie.

Here are 11 quotes to give you the extra boost you need today:

1. "It's kind of fun to do the impossible." -Walt Disney
2. "If you don't like the road you're walking, start paving another one." - Dolly Parton
3. "It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves." - Edmund Hillary

4. "In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity." - Albert Einstein

5. "Defeat may serve as well as victory to shake the soul and let the glory out." - Edwin Markum

6. "Whatever you can do or dream, you can begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it." - Goethe

7. "Overcome the notion that you must be regular. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary." - Uta Hagen

8. "Have faith in yourself and in the future." - Ted Kennedy

9. "Find your purpose and fling your life out to it. Find a way or make one. Try with all your might. Self-made or never made." - Orison Sweet Marden

10. "Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle." - Christian D. Larson

11. "Who says, who says, you can't be superman" - Hannah Montana

P.S. You got this dude.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
