"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Beautiful, and brilliant, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it."
"One Tree Hill" is one of television's most notoriously beautifully written shows about what it is really like to be a teenager/young adult. With a total of nine seasons, many teens felt like they grew up with the characters as they faced challenges and went through experiences that only the OTH characters could truly portray. Each character had his or her own set of creditable personalities that, when put together, created a beautiful masterpiece. One of the most infamous characters, Brooke Davis, is who I personally relate to the most. It is easy to relate to her bold personality and courageous spirit, so in honor of one of television's most notorious characters, here are eleven life lessons that Brooke Davis taught us all.
1. Zero is NOT a size. Be comfortable in your own skin.
2. You don't need to give good advice to help a friend who is sad. Rather, you need to make them feel like they can always count on you and know they you're a shoulder to cry on.
3. People change, but that does not mean you won't like the new person you've become.
4. Love a boy who makes you feel special.
5. Don't let anyone label you. It is what you think about yourself that matters the most, not what everyone else thinks about you.
6. It is not always as bad as you think. There are people out there who have it worse than you do.
7. We don't need to rely on our parents as much as we think we do. We are all more independent than we think we are.
8. Live each moment like it's your last and don't waste time on drama that will be irrelevant in a matter of days.
9. Being a bitch is okay if your heart is in the right place.
10. We need to keep the right people in our lives, and you know who the right people are.
11. Hoes over bros.
Brooke Davis taught us so many things, from being a total badass to knowing what you want and not being afraid to go out and get it. Love you forever and always, B. Davis.
