Or just cute socks in general. These are perfect for the cold winter weather. You can NEVER have too many fuzzy socks, and there are so many cute patterns and types! American Eagle and Target both have tons of adorable options for under $5.

2. Jar Lights

These are perfect for the person who loves to be aesthetically pleasing in your life, plus it's so simple to make. Just buy Christmas or holiday lights and put them in a jar. You can decorate to your liking.

3. Sharpie Mugs

These are cool for a personal touch with your gift. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes, and you have a cool personalized DIY gift.

4. Candy Jars

Who doesn’t love candy and sweets around the holidays, especially if the jar is filled with fun-sizes of their favorite candies? Bonus points if you decorate the jar with acrylic paints or stickers.

5. A thoughtful letter

It’s the thought that counts, right? Sometimes it’s nice to remind someone that you’re grateful to have them in your life.

6. Photo Collage

You can be super involved and print out a bunch of pictures and mount them and put them on a canvas or poster, or you can go online and order one.

7. Hot Chocolate in a jar

Take six cups of Dry Milk, 1.5 cups of sugar, 1.5 cups of cocoa, and 1.5 cups of mini marshmallows and combine in a bowl. You can spoon .5 cups this into a bunch of little jars and then combine with 1 cup of warm milk or water when you’re ready to drink. Decorate the jars, and you have bulk gifts to give away to neighbors or at a holiday party.

8. Book/Movie/Music Recommendations

If you have a personal favorite, buy it and wrap it nicely and give it to the music-addict or bookworm in your life and insert a little note into the cover or DVD case.

9. Ornaments

Malls everywhere have stations to get personalized ornaments. You can also buy clear ornaments at a craft store and decorate them yourself with paints or fill them with clear glue and glitter.

10. Gift Cards

If you really wait until the last minute, there’s nothing wrong with buying a gift card to someone’s favorite restaurant or clothing store or even Target. Target has everything.

11. A Planner

The holiday season happens to fall right before the start of a new year. Pretty much everyone likes to start the year off with goals or new plans, and a planner is a great way to help them achieve those goals and stay organized with all the new beginnings.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
