Keeping your relationship fresh, fun and exciting can be a bit of a challenge. This struggle can be much harder when attending college; class, extra curricular's and, most agitating of all, a complete lack of extra money can make Date Night in college seem like an impossibility. Luckily, there are many date ideas that cost little-to-no money, and are pretty easy to pull off.

1. Movie Night

From Netflix to Redbox, cheap movie nights are possible. Grab some popcorn on meal plan, and cuddle up for the night!

Recommended Netflix Movies: Love Actually, Silver Linings Playbook, Stardust

2. Petting Puppies

Visiting your local Humane Society is not only free, it is a great opportunity to make some dog's day! Many shelters allow you to pet the dogs, and some even let you take them out of the cages and play with them!

3. Walks around campus.

College campuses are extremely beautiful. Talk a walk around, see the sights your school has to offer.

4. Board games

Ahh, a classic. Board games are an easy way to spend a few hours with the person you love.

Recommended Games: Scrabble, Clue, Monopoly

5. Meal Plan dinner

Most colleges offer some kind of meal plan for their students. Use this to have a nice dinner out, or to buy some food to bring in.

6. Geocaching

Geocaching is an easy and fun way to explore around your town. Download the app for iPhone or Android, and wander around your city in search of hidden treasures!

7. On-Campus activities

Check out the events going on around your campus. For example, Oklahoma State held Cliche Date Night, complete with mini-golf and carnival games. Campuses are a hub of activity, there's bound to be something going on.

8. Visit a park

Slides and swings can be just as fun in adulthood.

9. Free sample day

Many grocery stores, craft fairs and malls hand out tons of free sample of their foods. Sam's Club, for example, has an AMAZING free sample day every weekend. Make a meal out of it!

10. Visit the lake

Lakes, or the ocean if you happen to be near it, are a great place to lay about and spend the day. Take a volleyball or a furry friend to add extra fun!

11. Splurge a bit

While college students are usually always tight on funds, budget out a day to spend a little extra. Go to a nice dinner, catch a movie at the theater, spend some quality time together. You'll be glad you did.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
