So as summer time ends, we are now approaching my personal favorite time of the year, FALL!!! (Or Autumn depending on how you like to say it) I love the fall months! From the leaves changing color, to the colder weather, to the pumpkin inspired decorations in all of the stores, and of course the array of coffees Starbucks has to offer during this time, what's not to love? I've put together a list of fall guilty pleasures that I think make September, October, and November the best months of the year!

1. Pumpkin spice everything

OK, we all knew I was going to start off with a pumpkin spice latte. And why? Cause it's undeniably the holy grail of fall goodies and it tastes so damn good! The pumpkin spice flavor has turned into a fall staple across a ton of different foods - cereals, cookies, French toast, pies, you name it! And I am not mad about it!

2. Fall inspired coffee flavors

Aside from the pumpkin spice latte, there are so many incredible flavors out there for the fall season. Salted caramel mochas, caramel brûlée lattes, gingerbread lattes, and of course we can add in all the fancy hot chocolates. It's safe to say I spend way too much money on coffee during the 3 fall months.

3. Colder weather

Who doesn't love being cuddled up indoors, under a blanket (most likely with a cup of one of the above coffee flavors) when it's cold and windy outside? I know I do! Summer was great and all, and the pool is always a good time. But I'm very over the sweating and hair frizzing as soon as I leave my apartment.

4. Sweaters and boots

During the fall I live in comfy sweaters, flannels, leggings, scarves, and boots or Uggs. I mean what else could you possibly need?

5. Halloween

Halloween is just a fun time! You can pretend you don't like it, but deep down we all know Halloween is great!! It also comes along with fireworks and bonfires and who can deny that those two activities are awesome to see in their own sense!

6. Haunted houses and corn mazes

If you're too old to tricker-treat on Halloween, here's another way to enjoy the holiday - go to a haunted house! I promise if you pick a good one, it won't matter what age you are, it will undoubtedly scare the shit out of you (in the funnest way possible). But, if you're looking for something fall or Halloween related but don't feel like potentially wetting your pants, corn mazes can be fun at any time of the day!

7. Fall inspired candle scents

I won't lie, I burn through at least four whole 3 wick candles during the fall season. Again, I'm not even mad about it. Stores come out with the best scents in the fall. Caramel inspired smells, marshmallow and bonfire smells, coffee smells, pumpkin spice (of course) smells, vanilla and pumpkin pie smells, warm apple smells. Honestly I could go on but they're all amazing.

8. Leaves changing

This is truly one of the best things about fall. Something so simple, yet it makes the season so perfect. Who can say that they look out of their window in the fall, see the leaves falling from trees, see all of the bright oranges, yellows, and reds, the gold and browns, see them laying crisp on the ground, in piles ready to jump in, feel the crisp air, and thinks wow what a beautiful world? Cause I know I do.

9. Pumpkin patches

Even if you just go to stroll around, pumpkin patches are just so pretty! They're a fun place to go on a date, a fun place to go with friends or family, and we all know a fun place to take fall pics! We'd be lying if we said we have never posted a pumpkin Insta pic with a punny caption.

10. Pumpkin inspired decorations

Picture me trying to grab onto my wallet as I walk around Target, Home Goods, and TJMaxx. Because yes the struggle is really real and I want to fill my apartment with leafy wreaths and glittery pumpkins and signs that say "fall."

11. Pumpkin based recipes

Pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup, pumpkin candy, pumpkin Swiss roll, pumpkin flavored sauces, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pasta, pumpkin risotto, pumpkin yogurts. I think you get the picture. So honestly, what is not to love about fall?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
