Last week I accidentally ordered two pounds of rhinestones instead of one. There was no way to change the order. I vented my anguish about what to do with a whole extra pound to my friends. They all shared a look, then turned to me and explained that I could probably figure some sort of craft to use the extras in. Then I realized I was already mentally planning some...I mean two pounds of rhinestones aren't that many.
Since I'm feeling particularly crafty with all these rhinestone ideas I thought I'd share some of my personal crafting favorites to personalize your living space.
1. Home away from home canvas. You get to represent your hometown and still show some school pride!
2. Personalized desk accessories. These are great for adding a pop of color or amping up the classy factor in your room.
3. Washi tape light. Pick up a white paper lamp and use washi tape to change colors and style.
4. Succulents + trendy pot = Urban Outfitters vibes.
5. You get so many new t-shirts in college combine some the ones you plan to throw out into a t-shirt Rug!
6. Tie Dye Tapestries are a great way to liven up a blank wall.
7. Limited closet space? Try this trend: open DIY clothing racks.
8. Brighten up your bedding with a personalized pillow.
9. Want a cozier feel when you hit the hay? Try these curtains.
10. Have a big wall to fill and limited budget? Try some larger-than-life statement art.
11. Don't like the statement art look? Break it up with a whole wall collage.
