You did it! Exams are (finally!) coming to an end and it is finally the beginning of summer vacation. All your hard work throughout the semester has finally paid off and it is over! So whether you are a senior that is graduating, or having your first summer off as a freshman, here are some Bible verses that will uplift and encourage you for the summer ahead:
1. “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Some of us are graduating and entering the workforce and it can be worrisome. It is important to remember that the Lord is in control and He knows the plans he has in store for you!
2. “as soon as they put forth leaves, you see it and know for yourself that summer is now near.” Luke 21:30 NIV
SUMMER!
3. “A happy heart makes the face cheerful…” Proverbs 15:13 NIV
It is an awesome feeling to be done with the stress of finals and our hearts are definitely cheerful for the coming season.
4. “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:32 NASB
This year of school may have been draining, but the Lord will renew our strength if we lean on Him.
5. “A happy heart makes the face cheerful…” Proverbs 15:13 NIV
It is an awesome feeling to be done with the stress of finals and our hearts are definitely cheerful for the coming season.
6. “Make me to hear joy and gladness, Let the bones which You have broken rejoice.” Psalm 51:8 NASB
The semester may have been tough, but the Lord brought you through it.
7. “Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.” Psalm 32:11 NASB
This is one of my favorite verses and reminds us where our joy comes from!
8. “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; his love endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34 NIV
Give thanks to the Lord that finals are almost over!
9. “May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” Psalm 20:4 NIV
Keep your desires pure and do the Lord’s will and He will deliver!
10. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” Psalm 28:74 NIV
The Lord always remains strong as our source of strength and our shield, even when we may not feel our strongest.
11. “Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.” Psalm 95:2 NIV
Amen! We can be ever so thankful the Lord brought us through the semester!
