10 Ways Winston Bishop is Basically a College Student

We could all use a little Winston Bishop in our lives. He’s funny, charming, and at times pretty intuitive. He takes care of his friends, loves his fiancé, and is always down for anything fun. Winston is the guy you can call to make you laugh if you’re having a bad day, even though he doesn’t realize he’s being funny.

Sure I love Jess’s quirkiness, and Nick’s aloofness. Of course, I love Cece’s “normalcy” and Schmidt’s sassy demeanor. But, none of their humor compares to Winston’s. Winston is exactly what every college student is like. He gets us, especially our weird attachment to our pets. So, here are ten ways Winston from New Girl is basically a college student.

1. He has a borderline obsession with his cat*.

*dog, bird, fish, basically, any pet you have.

2. He knows how to have a good time, even by himself.

Because let’s be honest, most of our friends probably get sick of us from time to time, and we’re left with entertaining ourselves.

3. And when there's a party, he's always down.

"What midterm? I don’t have a midterm tomorrow…"
*laughs nervously before downing tequila shots*

4. He chooses to deal with his problems by making up crazy schemes, and they usually never go as planned.

College kids are notorious for doing everything possible to avoid our problems.

5. He understands our hatred for 8 AM classes.

6. He understands how vital coffee is in our lives, even though it's completely bad for us.

7. And food, especially if its free.

8. He's about as confident in his love life as us.

9. His fashion sense is amazing.

Because wearing that three-day old shirt and stained sweatpants to an 8 AM class is chic, right?

10. And finally, he knows how to answer the "now what are you doing with your life?" question that comes the second you graduate.

Winston is our true spirit animal.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
