10 Ways To Procrastinate But Still Be Productive

I mean, kind of.

At long last, it’s final exam season here at the University of Tampa. Studying for hours on end at Starbucks is most definitely the move… But what about when you’d literally rather do anything but that? Here’s a list of things you can do that aren’t total wastes of time:

1. Complain to all your friends about how awful the exams are going to be.

Vent out all your frustrations now so that way you won’t be tempted to take breaks while studying to gripe.

2. Clean your dorm

It's much better to study in a clean room than a messy one, right?

3. Collect and organize all your loose papers.

This'll make it easier to study - all your notes are in one place!

4. Complete end of course surveys.

Some teachers offer extra credit points for completing these - perfect, since you're clearly not studying.

5. Do your laundry.

And maybe while you wait for the washer/dryer to finish, study.

6. Finish that show on Netflix.

Because you can't possibly study without finding out what happen's next on Grey's Anatomy... Or Bob's Burgers.

7. Go to the gym.

Not only does exercise blow off stress, it'll also help your memory... In the long run.

8. Plan a study date with your friends.

Friends that study together, stay together.

9. Scour the internet for study guides and/or Quizlets.

As the saying goes, "If there's a will there's a way, if there's a Quizlet, there's an A.".

10. Take a nap.

If you're not going to study now, you're probably going to pull an all-nighter later when you do.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
