Join a student organization, sport, program, etc. Trust me, it's going to be one of the best decisions you ever make! Become a part of the world around you, because you're going to be here awhile.

1. Make some friends.

2. Update your resume.

3. Network.

Meeting new people means new opportunities. Take advantage of that and you may just find a job in your career or a program to pay for grad school.

4. Create a home away from home.

5. Learn more about yourself.

Clubs always help to teach you your strengths and weaknesses in a group dynamic. Better to learn now then on the job when you are getting paid.

6. Get organized.

7. Learn new life skills.

Whether it be how to budget funds, plan events, fill out forms, etc. you're going to need it one day.

8. Be a part of something bigger than yourself​.
