10 Ways College Students can Relate to Chandler Bing

Just like most things in life, college is what you make of it. However, there are a few scenarios that pretty much apply to ever college student. Here are 10 times college students have related to Friends' charcater, Chandler Bing.

1. College is supposedly preparing us for the future, but we really have no idea where we're going to be. "What are your plans after college?" people ask us. Um, I don't know. Can we just get through this week first?

2. But don't worry, college students aren't completely goal-less. We have simple, short-time goals and we know what we want.

3. All college students really want is to have some time to relax, lounge around comfortably, and get more than six hours of sleep.

4. Unfortunately, most college students do not get the amount of sleep they should be getting (especially during midterms and finals). Therefore, they will try to take naps whenever and wherever they can.

5. However, lack of sleep is just one of the many things a college student gets stressed about. There's the thought of student loans, the insane homework load and so much more. The stress of being a college student can result in one (or many) of those days where nothing seems to go right.

6. Honestly, college students would probably be a lot less stressed if they just learned how to avoid procrastinating. But that's way easier said than done. College students will do just about anything to avoid starting homework.

7. And if it's a Sunday, don't even expect to see a college student out and about (unless maybe they're grabbing a cup of coffee). Sunday's are known as the day of recovery and homework, or at least a last minute attempt at homework.

8. Nobody should ever mess with a student's laptop. More and more classwork has to be done online.

9. Even the littlest inconvenience can seem like the end of the world. College is great and amazing, it just comes with a lot of stress that has to be expressed in order to go away.

10. College students long for a clean bath tub to take a bubble bath in. Even if they're living at home, having the time to relax and have a bath is a rare occasion.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
