Yeah, I'm talking about the quality pictures that came out on Twitter that time when #embarrassyourbestfriend was trending. Or the gems that appear in that collage you can't wait to throw up on their birthday. To me, there are 10 classic pictures that everyone has of their closest friends, strictly for blackmailing purposes, of course. Try picturing them as you read; trust me, you won't regret it.

1. The "Awkward Stage"

This probably doesn't need much explanation. Basically, I'm talking about the pre-puberty photos that you want deleted from existence. But of course, your friends always manage to find them somehow...

2. The "Sports Action Shot"

If you're like me, you genuinely wonder how people get quality action shots during sports games. The sports action shot blackmail might be something like them falling in their soccer game or a shot of their mouthguard hanging out of their mouth in a lacrosse game (thanks for that one, Dad).

3. The School Dance Pictures

Nine times out of ten, this picture includes a dress you wholeheartedly regret wearing along with the forced "prom pose" for the seventh grade dance. Definitely quality blackmail.

4. The Embarrassing Night Out

If we're being honest, you probably have more than one of these. It's amazing how embarrassing pictures can turn out with a little liquid encouragement, huh?

5. The Baby Picture

This one might not hit everyone so hard. Some are proud of their baby cuteness. But some, on the other hand, are not. The baby picture blackmail is best when it involves a forced Christmas photo or professional photoshoot, but candids are good too.

This goes without saying; this is the one that you look back and wonder how your parents let you out of the house looking like that. Side bangs, angles, a bad cut ... "Yikes" is all I can say.

Unless they somehow escaped this monumental time in their life, the brace face picture is absolutely a necessity. Bonus points for multiple colored elastics on the braces (or was that only me?).

It happens to the best of us; there was always, at least, one picture that haunts you more than the rest. Thank god for retakes, right?

10. The Mirror Selfies

Saved the best for last, obviously. Nothing beats a mirror selfie, no matter how long ago it was taken. It more than likely includes a duck face, peace sign, or some other weird face. It's a classic.
