10 TV Shows You Should Watch On Netflix

So it's that time of the year when everyone is stressed with finals and are counting down the days to go home and do nothing over winter break. So when the gates of heaven finally open and all of your exams are over here are a couple of shows you should watch over winter break on Netflix.

1. Gossip Girl. Hands down the best show ever created, well at least in my book. Not only do you get to see Blake Lively with her amazing outfits and flawless hair, but you also get drawn in to all the Upper East Side drama. If your looking for a little relationship envy, Chuck and Blair are absolutely adorable and I promise by the series ends you will be begging The CW to bring it back.

2.Greek. This show is so awesome and relatable to all of the college Greeks out there. So most of the sorority and fraternity stuff is a little dramatized but that’s what makes it great to watch. #ZetaBetaZetaforlife

3.Friday Night Lights. This show is all about family, sports, love and everything in between. Matt and Julie are absolutely adorable and you will fall in love with bad boy Tim Riggins. Texas forever y’all.

4.     Desperate Housewives. This show is pretty much like gossip girl, but instead of wealthy teenage New Yorkers it takes play suburbia with a bunch of caddy moms who make a white neighborhood extremely interesting.

5. Gilmore Girls. This mother daughter relationship is actually perfect. Rory and Lorelei Gilmore and all of their friends make this cast so lovable and relatable.

6.Orange is the New Black. Ok I know it’s very different and somewhat controversial but I’m telling you this show is amazing. The characters are soooo funny and you will become addicted I promise. Although I don’t recommend watching it in public it can get a little racy.

7.One Tree Hill. Ohh one tree hill, not only was it filmed in Wilmington, NC but with actors like Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush you have to watch it. This show will make you appreciate your high school experience after you all the stuff these Tree Hill Ravens have to deal with.

8.Criminal Minds. There are 9 seasons so there are a ton of episodes to watch. The subject matter can be intense sometimes, but its one of those shows you can’t stop watching and you don’t know why.

9. Vampire Diaries. I know another vampire show, but this one is really good I promise. The Salvatore brother and Elena Gilbert will make you wishing you were a vampire too. Also this love triangle is super intense, and will have you questioning if you are team Damon or team Stefan.

10. That 70’s Show. This show is such a classic. Plus you can see where Aston and Mila’s relationship all began.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
