10 Times Supernatural Described College Life

Because Supernatural is life.

10 Times Supernatural Described College Life
Supernatural.

College life is crazy, fun, frustrating, and if you're like me, a time filled with procrastination. There are days of adventure, days of laziness and a very real lack of sleep. College is a time for self-exploration, sometimes bogged down by the frustration of due-dates and awful roommates. It is challenging, but rewarding all in one package.

1. That time you forgot to save the document and your computer froze.

Don't worry buddy, it happens to the best of us. Despite the constant lectures to always save before you do anything, you still live life on the edge. And well, it's risky business.

2. When you've already made a 2 a.m. Denny's run this week and it's time for a change.

Because what better time is there to go get food and when you live in Arizona, you're never far from a Mexican restaurant.

3. When it's Sunday and you have three essays due by 11:59.

Yet somehow I manage to finish them in time. College has transformed me into some kind of super procrastinator, but not everyone possesses the same powers. Kids, don't try this at home.

4. When your roommates go somewhere without you.

It's probably nothing personal, but I am still slightly offended. "Would you have wanted to go?" Probably not but you didn't bother to invite me either.

5. When your professor mentions something from the reading you were supposed to do.

We've all been here at one point or another. My advice to you is to maybe actually do the reading next time. Or take a nap. Naps are nice.

6. When your roommates are being loud and you are trying to sleep.

Sleep is a precious, rare commodity. Don't poke the sleeping bear. The sleeping bear will devour you whole.

7. When the week is finally over.

Balancing a job, a social life and grades is a lot to handle.

8. When you should be sleeping, but have a heart to heart with your roommates instead.

Because no matter how much you guys get on each other's nerves at the end of the day you still love each other. The awesome thing about living in a dorm is that every night is a sleepover with your best friends. Unless you get an awful roommate in which case, I'm sorry and I feel your pain.

9. When you try and explain what college has been like to your mom.

Filled with work, essays, adventures, not enough sleep and entirely too much caffeine. There is no greater point of anticipation than the week before break.

10. When you have to read for a class that you hate.

Or maybe just take a nap instead.

To those of you who are debating going to college, or living in a dorm I have one thing to say. It is worth it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
