10 Times Abbi And Illana From 'Broad City' Were My Favorite People Ever

The show 'Broad City' led by real life best friends Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer is a show that I'd consider my favorite show at the moment. Why? Because it's a show that is sort of coming-of-age in context, in the sense that viewers are able to see how these two main characters navigate through their life together and how it makes them each grow individually. That stuff just really gets to me.

I also really love how close they are to each other, and I really laugh through every single episode, especially some of the episodes where I can just say, "honestly, me too tbh."

1. Season 1, Episode 10: "The Last Supper"

This scene is particularly funny to me because Abbi gets an adrenaline shot and you can really tell. I just feel like this scene relates to any time where you feel so on top of the world for whatever reason, and you feel like taking on the world and you scream "I Feel So Alive Right Now!"

2. Season 2, Episode 5: "Hashtag FOMO"

I know for a fact that FOMO is one of my biggest fears, so the fact that I can relate to Ilana in this scene makes everything a little funnier and less lonely.

3. Season 2, Episode 8: "Kirk Steele"

Anytime someone I love does anything that I think is the best thing I've ever seen/heard in my entire life, I think of this scene actually. Here, Ilana sees the little boy she's babysitting Oliver saying her signature phrase and she's so proud that her emotions get the best of her.

4. Season 2, Episode 10: "St. Marks"

In this scene, Abbi and Ilana get told that they're so pretty and they should smile more, and you know you'd be lying if you said you didn't feel like giving this response to anyone who tells you that you should smile more often.

5. Season 3, Episode 2: "Co-Op"

Seriously, the amount of times the word "YAS" is said in this show is insane, but I'm not complaining. Here, Abbi pretends to be Ilana at the Food Co-Op and the fact that this word emits so much positive energy is how I think we should all strive to be.

6. Season 3, Episode 5: "2016"

Here, Abbi and Ilana are super excited when they see Hillary Clinton in real life, and I mean, even if you weren't a fan of her, seeing her would cause a reaction I think (I know I'd be really excited).

7. Season 3, Episode 7: "B&B-NYC"

So, I'm gonna say right now that I've never stepped foot in a club that wasn't a Two-Stepping Club (Thanks, Dance Across Texas), but I'd like to believe Ilana's statement is true and that we're all fam there, even though it might be more of wishful thinking :(.

8. Season 3, Episode 8: "Burning Bridges"

Even though this scene deals with a family dinner, I feel that this line that Abbi says is something I say on the daily.

9. Season 3, Episode 9: "Getting There"

Honestly, this is the kind of innovation I think not only I, but also women in general need in their lives. I just love the random things these girls talk about because some of it really makes sense.

10. Season 4, Episode 1: "Sliding Doors"

This is the origin of a beautiful friendship, and I'm sure many of us can remember how we met our best friend(s). This scene is so wholesome and lighthearted, and I love it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
