We don't stay home on Friday nights because we don't have plans. In fact, we were probably invited to go out with friends, but we already ordered pizza, a movie, and put on our raggedy, old college t-shirt. And we don't dislike going out, but our couch is more comfortable than heels and a tight dress. Take a peek inside the head of a social loner and, maybe, you'll understand our adoration for 10 p.m. bedtimes and small groups of friends.
1. We don't find substance in chit-chat, texting, the casual grocery store conversation, or small talk of any form.
2. We politely decline your invitation to go anywhere that's crowded. There's just too many people.
3. We sleep in the middle of the bed because we don't like to share.
4. We don't talk much around strangers, but we can't stop talking around those we are the most comfortable with.
5. We shop alone so that we can move at our own pace. #NoRush #Amen
6. We always have music playing in the car, during homework, on a walk, in the shower, while we sleep, etc.
7. We spend a lot of time people watching, so we can tell you who wore what and when, but we can't tell you what we ate for dinner the night before.
8. Our best friend is loud, bold, bright. They keep us balanced.
9. We REALLY appreciate our personal space.
10. We're practically senior citizens, so texting us at 10:23 on a school night won't get a response until 6 a.m.
We won't ask you for much. Our "me time" is the best time of the day, but we still love our friends. We're just a little less social and little more of a home body.
