10 Thought We All Have When On Facebook
Huffington Post

1. Oh look, another FarmVille request... *ignore*

We all get our notifications flooded with them. “Help Betsy earn 50 more coins!” “Betsy invites YOU to play Candy Crush!” Thanks Betsy but for the hundredth time, no.

2. I'm going to share this recipe video but I know I'll never actually attempt it

A beautiful hand crafted apple pie with crust in the form a rose, *share*. But we both know it's not going to happen.

3. Should I comment?

When scrolling through all the drama, rants and specifically political opinions we have to pick our battles. We all have an opinion, but choose the time wisely.

4. Why do I even get on here?

Scrolling Facebook can be upsetting, sad, and flat out agitating, but we all routinely get on and scroll through the nonsense. Whether for entertainment, news, or one reason or another, we have all come across a dog video that made us cry or a post that got us heated.

5. “Betsy tagged you in a photo”

You hope it isn't another of you from your emo stage in middle school. But you know it is. *Untag*

6. Wow, Betsy has changed a lot.

Probably my favorite thing about Facebook is seeing how people you used to know are doing in life. Your high school friends getting married, having babies, doing heroin and you get to see it all without even talking to them!

7. I want to share this but I can't because my family will shun me

You know exactly what I am talking about.

8. Oh my word I have been on here for 2 hours

We all get sucked in so deep that we're lost in a trance. You take a second to think about why you're stalking your friend's mother’s cousin’s grandchild and then scrape your eyes off of your phone.

9. Should I give it a ‘love’ or a ‘haha’ reaction?

It doesn't matter, you know, I know it, we all know it.

10. Ayyy Facebook comment fight, let me stick my nose in and smell what's up

Sometimes, especially recently, the comment section can get spicy. We are all guilty of getting a little pleasure out of a good heated argument that you aren't aren't a part of.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
