My roommates and I are going away for spring break and we couldn’t be more excited! It's my very first road trip and I couldn't think of a better way to spend it than with the people I love. It’s going to be an exciting week of visiting a friend while having some much needed girl time. Of course, a long drive means that I will not be driving the entire time, so I had my friends practice driving my car today, since, you know, they're not used to the feel of it.
As much as I love my friends and trust them, having them drive my car made me feel like my mother when I was learning how to drive (sorry girls)! You know how it feels to drive someone else’s car. Now imagine what it feels like for the owner of the car. You're scared they will speed, get into an accident or get you all pulled over by the cops. Between them figuring out how to work the gear shift and them noticing how your gas peddle barely needs to be stepped on for it to go, you're biting your nails, praying they don't hurt your baby.
Here is a list of reactions to my friends driving my car, as told by cats.
1. I’m slightly terrified…
2. Oh my God, what are you doing?!
3. Slow down!!!
4. I can’t look (but I know I need to)…
5. Watching your speed.
6. Stop at that stop sign…
7. There's a car right in front of us!
8. I’m going to die.
9. I’m going to hurl…
10. Hallelujah, we're alive.
(Disclaimer: My friends are great drivers!)
