Living in San Diego means living the life. We all know that as residents of this wonderful county. San Diego is filled with culture, amazing food, beautiful beaches and, most importantly, awesome people.

1. Mexican food in San Diego, is the best Mexican food in the world.

California burritos are a must-have here in SoCal, and when other places in the world try to make them, they are never as good.

2. Drives along the coast can cure anything.

The coast highway is one of our favorite roads of transportation, because of the gorgeous views, warm sun, and salty air.

3. Avoid beaches on all holidays.

The beaches are insanely packed with travelers, every single holiday. For locals, this isn't the most relaxing time.

4. Being tan is normal.

In San Diego, it is so easy to be tan, that no one asks, "Did you just get back from Mexico?" They just know.

5. Rainbow flip-flops are a way of life.

The normal attire of many San Diego residents consists of a swimsuit, rainbow flip flops, and rocking' sunglasses.

6. Music is everything.

Beach music is a must, this includes much Jack Johnson and Flume.

7. Do not take the 5 freeway after 3 p.m., unless you want to be two hours late.

Experiencing the freeways every single day has taught us some very important lessons. Unless you want to be in stopped traffic for 100 hours, avoid it at all costs after 3 p.m.

8. Eating healthy is quite easy.

Always being in shorts or a swimsuit makes it much easier to want to be healthy. The warm weather also brings us away from Netflix, and out into the fresh air!

9. The Del Mar Fair is the best time of your life.

The fair comes every year in June, and that is the best part of the summer. Who doesn't love rides, fried food, and a view of the ocean?

10. There's no better place in the world.

San Diego is our heart, and home. Moving away would be the worst thing to ever happen to us.

San Diego has stolen our hearts, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
