October in New England is a magical month, not only because of Halloween, but also because of all the pretty sightsand fun activities that New England has to offer. Now that it's October, take advantage of it before another cold winter sets in!
1. Instagramming countless pictures of the leaves changing color
Yes, it may seem excessive at times, but when its freezing cold in December with empty trees you will look back fondly on the beauty of a New England fall.
2. Or instagramming even more from the time you went pumpkin picking
Trust me, go to a real pumpkin patch, not only is it a blast, but your pumpkins will also last longer! Just remember to wear rain boots because you will regret getting your cute boots muddy.
3. Drinking (and obsessing over) pumpkin spice latte season
Ok, I'll admit it, I've never had one but for those who are obsessed, you do you.
4. Marathoning Halloween movies
If you’re like me, this will mostly consist of all the Halloweentown movies, Hocus Pocus, or The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. However, if scary movies are your thing, go right ahead, just don't make me sit through them!
5. Bringing out all of the cute boots and sweaters you’ve had in storage for the summer
Fall weather is the best weather to dress for because those adorable sweaters that go perfectly with jeans are also extremely comfortable. Also you no longer have to show off your pedicure-less feet like you have to with sandals!
6. Stressing about what to be for Halloween
Whether it's attempting to find a group costume that everyone agrees on, or finding the perfect halloween costume that is a balance of cute, original, or slutty if you're going in true Regina George fashion. Lets just be honest, dressing up is much more stressful now that your parents can't put the same pumpkin costume on you every year.
7. Baking all types of festive cookies
Even if that simply consists of sticking Pillsbury ready-to-bake sugar cookies in the oven.
8. Eating loads of Candy Corn (whether you like it or not)
Some people hate it, some love it, but somehow everyone ends up eating lots of Candy Corn simply because it's October.
9. Getting Lots of Halloween Candy
Even though we all buy our candy on the 1st and eat it within the week, it's totally acceptable because its October and you can just get more.
10. Decorating for Halloween
Whether it be your dorm, house, or apartment, decorating in order to get in the mood for Halloween is a must!
