We've all been there; six episodes deep into a Netflix binge, late at night, and you look at your phone.....and WHOA IT'S 2 AM. I started watching Pretty Little Liars my senior year of high school when I got my wisdom teeth out. I watched all four seasons that were then on Netflix in two weeks. I have been keeping up with the series, and with it ending for good next Tuesday (#PLLEndGame), I've decided to list some things that happen when you start to binge the most social drama on TV.
1. You flinch if your phone buzzes.
Oh God, who is it?! Is it A?!...oh, it's just my mom.
2. You find yourself trusting random strangers less and less.
I don't know man, this barista is asking a little too much about my personal life. Do I really have to give them my name?
3. You develop an odd sense of style.
Spencer preppy, Hanna girly, Aria artsy, Emily sporty kinda style. I personally believe Alison is a mixture of all of these styles.
4. You second guess everything you know about yourself, your family, pretty much anyone you know.
Is my friend really just my friend? Are you sure she's not my cousin? Or half-sister? (I'm looking at you, Spencer and Alison!)
5. You find yourself longing for a coffee spot like The Brew to call home.
Honestly, with those cozy corners filled with books, you can almost smell the coffee through the screen.
6. You pick up a love for Scrabble.
Oh, Spencer and Toby, your love is one for the books.
7. You try finding old films to watch, and they're automatically better if they're French.
I swear once Aria and Ezra started watching old films, they became way more popular than they used to be.
8. You lock your doors and windows, close your blinds, basically soundproof your room.
I mean, what if the NAT club is watching? Or A?! (I mean, she was watching in that scene.)
9. You think about joining your school's swim team.
If Emily can do it, why can't I? Oh right, because she's been training for years and I'm a literal potato in bed eating chips.
10. But most importantly, you gain confidence in your closest friends.
My girls are my family, forever. They are the sisters I never got to have, and I'm so thankful I have them in my life!
To my Aria, Emily, and Spencer, love you! XO - Your Hanna.
