As hard as it is to believe, November is already here! That means that Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and then eventually Christmas! As college students, we start to do certain things once November gets here. Below are just ten of many things that college students do once that eleventh month arrives:

1. Go to stores and buy Halloween candy because it goes on sale November 1st!

2. Realize that we basically have only ONE month to get our GPA and grades up.

3. Think about what we really have learned in the last three months that we have been in school.

4. Schedule for the next semester, which is NOT that easy to do, talk about stress!

5. Realizing that the classes you want or need to get in are already full.

6. Not wanting to go to classes anymore, but know you have to in order to try and do something about your grades.

7. Look at the hundreds of due dates that you have coming up in the next two months.

8. Start crying because you know that eventually you will have to get out of your nice and warm bed and walk to class in the snow and cold!

9. Realize that finals are NEXT month, that is a scary thought for many and just makes us want to have a mental breakdown now!

10. Think of all the great food that you will be eating over Thanksgiving break and ignore the fact that you have work you should be doing and have work that is due very soon.

There you have it, just ten of many things that just about all college students do once November gets here! As a college student, I can say that November is probably one of the hardest months to get through because of the stress of trying to keep your grades up, getting ready for finals, and trying to figure out what your schedule should look like for the upcoming semester!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
