The semester is coming to a close and motivation is at an all-time low. There are papers and projects to be done, but suddenly your sweater pile needs to be sorted by color and material. Even cleaning your entire dorm is more appealing than anything school-related. Procrastinate all you want, but the end is near. To enable your dilly-dallying, here are 10 things that are better than studying.
1. Learning how to juggle.
To get you started, here is a video from Howcast. It's a great distraction whenever someone asks how finals are going.
2. Clean out the contents of your makeup bag.
You know it's gross, but who actually knows how to clean cosmetics? This Buzzfeed article will tell you exactly what your mom never told you.
3. Pick up an instrument.
It's never too late to learn. Or, find your clarinet that's been sitting in your closet since 5th grade and see what you remember.
4. Look at the Humane Society website.
You aren't even allowed to have a dog, but looking couldn't hurt...right?
5. Go to your Grandma's house.
You probably don't call her enough (ever), so pop in for a visit. Bonus points if she gives you some of those wafer cookie things.
6. Empty out your email's inbox.
You have like 300 emails from Facebook alone, and you know you aren't going to read them.
7. Look up how to fold a fitted sheet.
Then, when you can't figure it out, just collapse into your pile of laundry.
8. Make a studying playlist.
You can't be expected to study without the proper tunes. I recommend classical or this purely instrumental 8tracks playlist.
9. Let your dad (or mom) teach you how to change a tire.
You always meant to learn, but you've never gotten around to it in the four years you've been a licensed driver.
10. Take a nap.
All of this procrastinating has really taken a lot out of you. Studying while you're tired is never a good idea, so you might as well nap now.
Bonus: Write an article for your favorite online social content platform.
I mean, who would do that?
