In the midst of our crazy lives, it is all too easy to lose sight of God's presence, sometimes. The noise of our own busy schedules, our insecurities, our heartbreaks, and our struggles often mute God’s ever-present, peaceful voice. If you are like me, and from time to time need a gentle tug back towards The Lord, here is a brief reminder of 10 things He always wants us to know.
1. He loves us.
Romans 8:37-39:
In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2. He’s got us.
Jeremiah 29:11:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
3. He crafted us.
Psalm 139:13-16:
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
4. Don’t take life for granted.
James 4:14:
You do not know about tomorrow. What is your life like? For you are a puff of smoke that appears for a short time and then vanishes.
5. Being a Christian isn’t always easy.
Acts 14:22:
We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.
6. We are not worthy of Him.
Romans 3:23:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Ephesians 2:8-9:
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
7. He is ALWAYS by our side.
Deuteronomy 31:6:
Be strong! Be courageous! Do not be afraid of them! For the Lord your God will be with you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you.
8. He forgives us.
Hebrews 8:12:
For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.
9. We need Him.
John 14:6
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
10. He hears your prayers.
John 16:23:
Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in My name, He will give to you.
Peter 5:7
Cast all your cares upon Him; for He cares for you.
