I feel like every student hits a point, inevitably, in the semester where we just can’t wait to be all done. Add in the fact that I am a Senior with graduation so close yet so far, and you can understand why I am so excited for the semester to be done. So here are 10 things students look forward to doing after the semester is done.

1. Sleep

I am so looking forward to the day after this semester is done when I can sleep in and not hurry to work or school or whatever it is and just enjoy the beauty of my bed.

2. Shop with my momma

I really miss having time to shop, and even more so shopping with my momma. Especially with Christmas shopping on the horizon.

3. Watching TV

I never really watch TV but for some reason the idea of sitting on the couch doing such a mindless activity sounds like a dream come true.

4. Sit on the beach

Even though I live by the bay, I always miss my Southern California beaches…I need my sea salt.

5. Disneyland

I love the Holiday season and the Happiest Place on Earth is even happier when its all dressed up in the Holiday cheer.

6. Read

I read all. the. time. BUT…I miss being able to read for fun and reading completely to my leisure. Throw in a fireplace and cozy weather and I’ll be the happiest girl around.

7. Coffee dates

The cold weather coming up is kind of depressing when you know you have midterms and papers and finals. But, when you can look forward to cold weather activities and coffee dates, it’s the best kind of weather there is.

8. Driving

I really miss going on drives and singing in the car. Don’t judge.

9. Being with Family

I miss hanging around the house when my family is there and not having a million things to do for school. I am going to really love the simple kinds of days that comes with break.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
