Whether you're expecting or thinking about having children in the future, it's fun to look at cute baby names! This is a list of boy and girl baby names inspired by some of our favorite characters from musicals and plays. The names are absolutely perfect for your future theater kid and adorable for a non-theater kid as well!

1. Audrey ("Little Shop of Horrors" 1986)

Written by Howard Ashman; Directed by Frank Oz

Audrey is one of the characters in the musical Little Shop of Horrors. She is the love interest of the main character Seymour. Seymour finds an interesting fly trap plant and names it Audrey II after Audrey. Audrey has her weaknesses as a character but ultimately, she is bubbly, sweet, bashful and caring. If you're not a fan of this particular character, it is also the name of actress Audrey Hepburn

The name Audrey means, "noble strength." It's a pretty name with a classic flair to it. You don't hear it all that often either.

2. Angel ("RENT" 2005)

Written by Johnathan Larson; Directed by Chris Columbus

This name could work for either a boy or a girl! Inspired by one of the main protagonists in the musical RENT, Angel is probably the most awesome character in this musical (in my opinion). The transgender female is confident, fun and full of energy. She is also very affectionate and nurturing towards her friends.

The name Angel means "Messenger" or simply "angel". It has a gentle and pure feel to it and is also quite rare.

3. Sandra or Sandy for short ("Grease" 1978)

Written by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs; Directed by Randal Kleiser

Sandra Dee, more commonly known as Sandy is the female lead in Grease. She is often ridiculed for her purity and innocence but she is very kind and caring.

The name Sandra means "Protector of man". The full name Sandra has an elegant flair to it but the nickname Sandy is adorable and quirky. Perfect for a summertime baby!

4. Mercutio ("Romeo and Juliet" 1597)

Written by William Shakespeare

Almost everyone has read the timeless tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. If not, you're probably familiar with it. Mercutio is Romeo's cousin and friend. Mercutio is very witty and loyal to his friends.Spoiler alert: He dies fighting on Romeo's behalf.

Mercutio comes from the word, "mercurial" which is synonymous to "unpredictable". This name is bold and rare. It can also be considered an astrological name because of the planet "Mercury".

5. Titania ("A Midsummer Night's Dream" 1605)

Written by William Shakespeare

This one is from another Shakespeare classic! Titania is Queen of the fairies in this play. She is strong, fierce and beautiful. This is a Shakespearean name but also the name of one of the moons of Uranus. It is elegant and uncommon. "Tania" can be used as a nickname.

6. Link ("Hairspray" 2007)

Written by Thomas Meehan and Mark O'Donnell; Directed by Adam Shankman

Link is the love interest of the heroine in Hairspray! He is charming, cool and handsome. He ends up falling for Tracy Turnblad. Though he is rather flirtatious, he's never a player. He's genuinely kind and stands up for others when he needs to.

The name Link alone is cute but it can be a nickname for "Lincoln" also.

7. Rizzo ("Grease" 1978)

Written by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs; Directed by Randal Kleiser

Rizzo is more common as a last name than a first name. It could make for a cute, edgy first name for either a boy or girl. In Grease, Rizzo is the head of the pink ladies. Though she may not be the kindest of characters, she is outspoken and strong.

The name Rizzo means "curly-haired".

8. Easton ("Almost Maine" 2004)

Written by John Cariani

This play is less common than the ones above. It is a romantic comedy written by John Cariani. Easton is a sweet, generous man who falls in love easily. In one line of the play, it is revealed that his name was a result of a mess up on his birth certificate, "A son Easton, born in the town of Matthew, Maine"(Cariani).

Easton is an adorable name for a boy and is definitely uncommon. The name means, "from east town," and is also a town in Maine!

9. Glinda ("Wicked" 2003)

Written by Winnie Holzman

Glinda is one of the main characters from the play, Wicked. In the beginning, she is snobby and shallow and her name was actually Galinda. After she changes her name to Glinda, she becomes kinder. Her character is upbeat and bubbly.

The name Glinda means "fair" or "good." It has a shimmery, enchanting ring to it.

10. Sky ("Mamma Mia" 2008)

Written by Catherine Johnson; Directed by Phyllida Lloyd

Sky is the main character's handsome fiancé in Mamma Mia! He is charming, romantic and witty. The name Sky could work for either a boy or girl. The meaning is as it appears, "the sky". If Sky alone is too short for your liking, you can use "Skylar" as a full name. The name Sky is sometimes spelled like "Skye" as well.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
