1. I'm so psyched to be on summer break.
By the end of second semester, every college student is more than ready to be on summer break. Even though the school year was great, there is nothing like sunshine and pool water to alleviate the built up stress from finals week.
2. So... How long until school starts back again?
Being home for the summer is great, but you'll quickly begin to miss your classes and daily routine.
3. Maybe I should sleep in a little longer.
After innumerable late night study periods and countless 9 AM classes, we need to rest!
4. I wonder if my friends from school still remember me...
When you go to college, you meet some of the greatest people you've ever known; they quickly become your best friends. Whether you are visiting home for the summer, studying abroad, or working in a different city, you miss your friends from university dearly; many of them live miles away. It is difficult to readjust, and realize you won't be able to see those people every day like you did during the school year.
5. Is it acceptable to wear this swimsuit all summer long?
After enduring winter's frigid temperatures while walking to class each morning, college students are overjoyed to finally feel the sun's warmth. Some of them will want to spend their free time relaxing beside the pool. If you're a girl, the odds are you have tons of swimsuits specifically for this purpose. But, there is nothing like your favorite bathing suit... You know, the one that fits you the best and is by far the most comfortable for lounging. You'll never want to change.
6. Why do bugs exist?
While you're sitting by the pool, bees and other insects will undoubtedly harass you, and make you question your ardent love of nature.
7. Ah, the smell of charcoal and chlorine.
You will welcome the scents of summer.
8. Remind me why I didn't study abroad?
When you see the cool pics your friends are posting, and hear about each of their epic adventures in various parts of the world, you'll wish you had responded to those emails from SOL about summer study abroad sessions.
9. I need a job.
As soon as second semester comes to an end, college students start fretting over their summer plans. For many of us, we have already secured the perfect summer job or unpaid internship. For those of us who haven't, we immediately begin to regret not doing so already, and start frantically looking for the perfect position within a couple weeks of being home.
10. I just need to relax and enjoy sweet summertime.
About a month into summer break, you realize how fast it goes by; so, even though you miss your friends and schedule, be sure to treasure the temporary break from tests, 9 AM classes, and dining hall food.
