10 Struggles Of Being A Girl

Sometimes it’s true when they say it’s a mans world, when it comes to getting ready, a quick shower, dry off and shave and they’re out the door. Don't we all wish it was that easy?

Being a woman however, takes just a little more effort. It takes a lot to get ourselves ready on a weekly, even daily basis. Then having these things happen on top of it doesn't make it easier.

Ain’t nobody got time for that... But some men don’t seem to understand the efforts girls go through to feel spick and span, and look even more beautiful than we already do, as well as the opinions we receive from them.

With all the nitty gritty details, and beauty products, sometimes I wish I was a boy so facial hair would be considered attractive!

1. Periods.

Nothing worse than getting your period the day before or day of something important. Mother Nature just send me a text and call it a day.

2. Shaving your legs.

These are the times where you wish you could snap your fingers and the deed could be done.

3. Getting your eyebrows done.

I think you all understand the pain it takes for the brows to be on fleek.

4. Breaking your hair tie.

Then having to walk around with a bump in your hair if you can't find a new one. Or something that at least substitutes it.

5. Makeup expectations

Reality:

6. Bad hair days.

Guys have it easy, just throw on a hat and call it a day. We have to tackle the summer humidity, the rain and everything else Mother Nature has to throw at us.

7. We can't get ready in just five minutes.

When you get the dreaded "Be there in 5" text and you are in the middle of your contour. There is no turning back now. Looks like they are going to be sitting outside for 20 minutes.

8. Chipping your nails 10 minutes after you get them done.

9. Running with boobs.

Or just running in general.

10. Being accused of being a bad driver.

This one just puts the icing on the cake of being a girl, I don't think I have ever heard a guy compliment a girls driving.'

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
