Here are 10 poems that were spontaneously written out. Each of them is about a life subject, whether it is about love or romance, pure imagination, reference to a song, or church worship, and some of them feature Haiku or Acrostic format. Enjoy!

Poem 1

If I was a girl

who loved to wear a dress.

I would twirl

because I'd feel my best.

I'd look for my man to join me

because he'll be on my side.

His spirit is free

and in him I will confide.

If he was in school,

I'd think that he's cool.

If he enjoys Netflix,

with him I'll watch chic-flicks.

If I was a girl

I'd enjoy my girls' nights out.

I'd have the time of my life

That there is no doubt.

Poem 2

If I always knew,

That your heart is full of love,

I would marry you.

Poem 3

What is the meaning of life

when it gives you a lot of strife?

I thought I had the bare necessities

since those are the accessories.

But as I go through this journey

I have to advance through the tourney

Sometimes I will lose, but will fight to the end

because I have a bunch of energy to spend

But when I win

it's because I'm all-in.

I will always compete

until the game is complete.

The meaning of life

comes from your individual ride

It makes you feel alive

and your soul will rise.

Poem 4

Sometimes the days fly

Other times they go real slow

But clocks never stop

Poem 5

When I go to church

I go to worship God.

He's seated on his perch

because nobody else is God.

I'll read my devotional

and put it into perspective.

At times it makes me emotional

but that is my perspective.

When I'm at church I listen to the pastor

but also I make new friends.

He might be a master,

but we all know God's love never ends.

When I see the throne,

I want to dive further into the word.

I am sin prone

but the only direction I can move is forward.

Poem 6

If I was a boy

I'd learn to play the guitar

In it I'd find great joy

because it will take me far

I'd find my special lady

who'd meet me on my tour

I'm old because Ay, Matey,

but I'd show my love to her.

She'd buy me guitar picks

but she's never seen the ocean

So if she gets sick,

I've got the magical potion.

If I was a boy

I would grow into a man.

At first I would be coy

but I'm growing because I can.

Poem 7

Use a play on words

Because that is punny right?

Yes you know it is.

Poem 8

Whatever happens,

happens due to Jesus' plan,

since we live for Him.

Poem 9

Today is the day

Realize what an opportunity it is

You are the one with that opportunity.

Tell yourself to take it seriously

Once in a lifetime opportunities

Present on a rare basis are those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

Understand that you have to put yourself out there for them.

Then you will be more motivated to go for them.

You are the only one who can stop yourself

Or you can go for it.

Utilize the resources you have.

Run through the situations that could occur

Stick with your gut feeling.

Every time you try, you learn something.

Learn something with every experience

Forget about those telling you that you should try not to get hurt.

Only your decision truly matters

Unless you really care about how others think.

Their opinion is to be considered but the ultimate decision is yours.

Then, when you make the decision,

Have full confidence in your choice.

Every now and then, people will question and doubt you.

Remember that this was your choice.

Everything will fall into place.

Poem 10

Yesterday I ran

over the rainbow to home,

where my heart calls me.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
