Finally, summer has arrived. The days for chilling at the lake with friends, tanning at the beach on vacation, watching fireworks on the Fourth of July, and just relaxing have arrived. Also, summer is the season for upbeat and great music. So here are 10 songs for 2017 that will define your summer!

1. "Wild Thoughts"- DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller

French Montana, Swae Lee and all the Ugandan natives created a song and video that provides good vibes all around. It is nearly impossible to not dance while things song is on.

3. "It Ain't Me"- Kygo and Selena Gomez

Best Lyric: Honestly, the entire song.


Kygo and Selena Gomez team up to tell a story of a fighter though his electric beats and her amazing voice. Although the lyrics sound sad and somber, the video shows a guy in a coma who is being reminded that we should fight for his will to live and it is simply beautiful.

With his soulful voice, Charlie strikes again with his amazing vocals. Be careful listening to this song because you will be listening to it all summer long.

This song should be listened to strictly during those late night adventures! This song can capture many memories within its three minutes and twenty seconds.

7. "Believer" - Imagine Dragons

This song is just a reminder that you are a fighter. The beat is like an awakening of the soul and the lyrics provide so many encouragements that it is hard to stay away from this song.

David Guetta and Justin are back at it again but this time, they invited the Victoria Secret Models to join in on all the fun. When David and Justin get together, the possibilities are endless.

10. "Know No Better"- Major Lazer Feat. Travis Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo

Best Lyric: "Wild ones, like we're fresh out the cage"


These artist came together to make the feel-good song of the summer. The video makes you want to go on countless adventures and encourages youto have fun. Love that these artists came together to make this song!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
