Recently, my sister, her friend, and I attended the Bad Suns concert at Irving Plaza in New York City. They came on the stage with so much energy, and that energy lasted for their entire set. Christo had everyone roaring when he crowd-surfed. But this was not typical crowd-surfing. Christo stood on the attendee's hands and "walked" while he sang.

For those who do not know Bad Suns, they are an alternative rock band from California. Formed in 2012 the band consists of lead singer and guitarist, Christo Bowman; bass guitarist, Gavin Bennett; drummer Miles Morris; and lead guitarist Ray Libby. Their first studio album, Language and Perspective was released in 2014, and their sophomore album was released in 2016. Both are available on Spotify, iTunes, and on Amazon Music. So, without further ado, here are 10 songs by Bad Suns that you should listen to.

1. Cardiac Arrest

"I'll try my best, how much do I invest?

Like cardiac arrest, high voltage in her lips"

2. Dancing On Quicksand

"And when it's too much, you thought"

"How am I supposed to make this right again?"

3. Off She Goes

"And if you'd just believe in yourself

We can tune out everyone else"

Off She Goes was the first song I heard; my sister told me to listen to it and give the band the band a try since I was looking for new music/bands to listen to.

4. Daft Pretty Boys

"Yeah you waste your time on daft pretty boys

I've got no time to waste on another pretty face"

Christo has repeatedly said that this song is one of their favorite songs to perform because it gets the crowd really energetic and they feed off that energy.

5. Heartbreaker

"Your love is toxic

My heart collapsing

I'm relapsing tonight"

6. This Was a Home Once

"This was a home once

Now the ceilings falling, I feel the rain

This was a home once

With so much love comes so much pain"

This is their newest song. It came out just recently- October 6th, 2017.

7. We Move Like The Ocean

"I've been just coasting

My mind put to motion

We move like the ocean

But I can't swim anymore"

8. Salt

"So I ran 'til I couldn't

And I screamed 'til my voice was gone

I believed what I shouldn't have, I don't know why

These memories are nothing, just salt"

Christo has stated that this song is written from a different person's point of view, which many people have thought to be a transgender person. By believing what he/she shouldn't have, this person is experiencing gender dysphoria, which he/she suppressed in order to fit into society. Go Bad Suns!

9. Pretend

"Tonight won't ever end

Can we pretend, pretend, pretend?

We'll paint the walls instead

And I'll pretend, pretend, pretend again"

10. Rearview

<span id="selection-marker-1" class="redactor-selection-marker" data-verified="redactor"></span>

"Oh, feels so far from home

Try to fill a hole

Sunset in the rearview losing your control"

So for those looking for new bands to listen to, or for a change in pace in their music, I highly recommend giving Bad Suns a try.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
