Tap, tap, tap. Your window rattles with every downpour of rain as dark, ominous clouds loom overhead, leaving you stuck inside with a sour mood and absolutely nothing to do. Even though you've already snacked on your favorite chips and flipped through endless channels of TV shows, you still have the feelings of resentment and frustration churning behind your eyes. So what do you do? Listen to your favorite songs.

Below are 10 new songs based on your current mood to add to your playlist.

1. Content: "Crystalized" — The xx

With mellow undertones and a soothing beat, "Crystalized" is a perfect song for when you are feeling just right taking in the moment. The melodic voice adds a tinge of serenity, drawing in the body and soul. Perfect for casual listening or even video editing, this song provides a deeper insight into a calm and content mind.

2. Nostalgic: "Roses" — Ghostly Kisses

Perhaps you've just visited your favorite relatives living countries away or you've truly enjoyed a once in a lifetime experience, and the nostalgia begins to set in as you realize that you may never see or feel the same emotions or people associated with that experience again. The gloomy mood is like a grey blanket above you and music is the only resort. "Roses" by Ghostly Kisses is truly a special and emotional song filled with passion and longing. Not only may this song bring back the feelings from a certain time, it may even imbue you with a feeling of determination to overcome your nostalgia before it gets the best of you.

3. Artsy: "Pyramid" — Twin Caverns

Maybe you're in need of good ideas for your next creative project, new songs for your next playlist or even a next companion for your photography trip. In that case, this song has the perfect beat and tone to get your creative juices flowing. Though this may not be your typical song of choice, the new experience itself will allow you to think outside the box and come up with ideas that have never occurred to you before! Good luck.

4: Energetic: "Gallan Goodiyaan" — Dil Dhadakne

Surprise! I bet you've never heard of this one before. This song, appearing at many of the parties I've been to, has a reputation of bringing everyone in the room to their feet in celebration. At first, it starts off with a nicely rapt dialogue with a steady beat behind it, but as the song progresses, the rhythm and beat takes a large turn and provides a succinct and energetic musical burst. If you can understand the actual words, congrats to you! However, just hearing the song is enough to get you going!

5. Alone: "Put the Gun Down" — Andy Black

For those times when you're feeling ignored and lonely, you will totally relate to this song. Andy Black and his deep and raspy voice are the epitome of emotional songs. Not only does the orchestra play a major role in setting the mood, the lyrics also exhibit feelings that may be buried deep inside your heart, but you just don't want to admit. Eventually, if you do end up falling in love with Andy, I recommend that you check out the rest of his "Andy Black Album" and his band "Black Veiled Brides."

6. Relaxed: "Light and Easy" — Amanda Jenssen

The leaves are stirring and squirrels scurry across the browning pine straws as you sit on the porch wearing fuzzy socks and an oversized sweatshirt with a mug of steaming hot chocolate in your hands. Simply enjoying the cool autumn air, you just have a bit of alone time with your thoughts. This song, with a special swing and easy-going rhythm, provides a deep and meaningful insight into your buried emotions.

7. Rueful: "Worst In Me" — Pluto

If you're feeling the worst of yourself, what a better match of a song than "Worst In Me?" The song starts with just a few strums of an electric guitar followed by resounding taps of a drum. The lyrics themselves represent a feeling of regret and sorrow. Even the cover photo of his album sends a shudder down your spine. Regardless, whether it's your first time hearing this song or perhaps your last, your playlist may forever be changed...

8. Confident: "Game of Survival" — Ruelle

Your eyes are on the prize, and your mind is set on reaching that goal. You feel as if nothing can bring you down as your confidence is blown through the roof. This song is set in a battle-like stance and has the perfect resounding instrumentals and chilling vocals that are unstoppable, just like you. Though it starts slightly slow, within half a minute, the background music takes a sudden turn and incorporates strong beats with periodic calm moments, building up your confidence slowly until the final climax.

9: Angry: "Shadows Die" Black Veil Brides

Oh, rock fans, this is your song. Black Veil Brides, famous for their stunning vocals, instruments and good looks, has a song for nearly every mood. Their albums tell a story through a collection of linked songs and transmission, which thus end with a satisfying victory call. "Shadows Die" has a slightly spooky and fearful ring to it, but the guitars and daunting screams are guaranteed to help vent all your frustration and anger.

10: Determined: "Die Trying" Jule Vera

A new and emerging artist, Jule Vera has made several appearances on Journey's Warped Tour and gained accolades from large crowds ever since. Her silky smooth voice combined with her talented background drummers makes a perfect combo of determination. Especially in "Die Trying," her lyrics and harmonies become an ever-growing buildup of emotions and motivation. So next time, when you're feeling a bit slow and fatigued, try listening to her albums and experience the momentum for yourself.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
