Technically we all become adults when we turn eighteen, but nobody is really an adult at that point. As we grow up and move closer to real adulthood, some things start to happen. When I talked to my friends, we came up with these ten things that made us all realize that we are slowly but surely becoming real adults.
2. You actually use a grocery list.
You no longer stroll the aisles searching for whatever looks good at the moment. You know what you need, and you're going to get it.
3. You have a CVS card under your own phone number.
I strut out of CVS every time they ask me if I have a rewards card and I give them my number instead of my mom's.
4. You separate your laundry between whites and colors.
Okay, I'll be honest. I don't do this. Everything goes in one machine, and I just hope for the best.
5. Your make your bed every morning.
GiphyThere's nothing like sliding into sheets that are actually tucked in.
6. You buy salad dressing that isn't ranch.
Did I text my mom to tell her I bought Italian dressing instead of Ranch? You better believe it.
7. BOGO deals are your new best friend.
i don't really need two of these, but it's too good to resist!
8. Your body hurts everywhere all the time.
Do my knees, hips, ankles, elbows, and back crack every time I move? Yes. Yes they do.
9. You want to go to sleep early.
You want to go out at 10 pm? Sorry but my bed time is 9.
10. You say things like "back in my day" and "when I was a kid".
Back in my day, Zac Efron was known as Troy Bolton, not the guy from The Greatest Showman.
