I make too many promises. I'm a promise addict, and it's tearing apart my metaphorical home. This article is for one specific person, but just like every great work of literature, it is applicable to everyone if they look hard enough.
Here's a list of shows I said I'd watch (all the way through) but I actually never will.
1. Mr. Robot
Apparently, it would be a perfect match. I would fall madly in love and never see my friends or family again. I would be drawn in so far that I wouldn't remember who I once was, and to tell you the truth, I find that too terrifying to allow to happen.
2. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
I've seen like four episodes and it's great. Extremely funny, kinda relatable, overall very quality. But stop making new episodes. I cannot keep up and I'm so overwhelmed. You did this to yourself.
3. Friends
"The original 'How I Met Your Mother,'" they say. Little do they know that I don't want anything to cause me to ever negatively view HIMYM. This one will never happen. I promise.
4. Mad Men
Idk, my mom talked about it once and she said I'd like it? Jon Hamm is an American hero, but is he enough to get me to watch his show?
5. How to Get Away with Murder
I know so little about this show that I don't even know why I put it on here other than that someone said it was good and I added it to my Netflix list.
6. A Series of Unfortunate Events
Neil Patrick Harris and popular children's books sound like a great mixture, but alas, I haven't once said, "I'm in the mood for a kid's adventure-drama today." Sorry, NPH.
7. Making a Murderer
I watched the first two episodes and really got into it, but then so much time passed that I forgot what happened and I don't want to go back and rewatch them so I guess I'm just at a standstill.
8. Portlandia
Extremely funny, but only in small doses. Try to watch more than two episodes without stopping, I dare you. I think they did it on purpose though, so good job, "Portlandia."
9. Master of None
Aziz Ansari. You have a show now. I wonder how it is (I actually don't).
10. Game of Thrones
Lastly, the one you've all been waiting for. Yes, I liked "Lord of the Rings" for a year, but I am not nearly nerdy enough to enjoy this show, just trust me on this one.
