Spending time with your significant other is time that is always cherished. Whether it's a night of spontaneous activities or just hanging out and snuggling on the couch for hours, it's never boring. Being together is something that we're always down to do, no matter what. It's an incredible feeling to know that you always have someone right by your side, supporting you every step of the way. A partner that takes your hand and walks through every adventure with you.

But life becomes even more gratifying when your boyfriend is also your best friend.

Here's why:

1. You can make each other laugh for days.

When you're also best friends, you understand each other's humor like no other. Whether you're playfully poking fun at one another or giggling over the same silly comment someone made in class, laughter is key. It brings people closer together and makes them happy. Come on, who doesn't like to spend their day laughing with their significant other?

2. You have TV shows that you both watch together.

Nothing better than bonding over the same show. And when someone watches an episode without the other, it's never a good idea. It's something to look forward to at the end of the day when you just want to unwind together.

3. You can literally tell each other anything and everything.

It's nice to have someone you can always trust no matter what, especially when you really need to vent and just let it all out. Plus, this builds a unique kind of trust between the two of you, which is always a good thing.

4. You don't have to be afraid to be yourself.

When the two of you are also best friends, nothing "weirds you out." You can be as eccentric and carefree as you want, because they'd never judge you for being you. They accept each and every part of you no matter what.

5. You always have someone cheering you on.

Having someone who always believes in the best of you is very fulfilling. They help to bring out the best possible version of yourself. They are motivating in every way possible. We feel encouraged each day by each other, and there's nothing better. It's so comforting to have your number one support system right by your side.

6. You can always ask each other for any kind of advice.

The two of you are always willing to listen to what's going on with each other because you genuinely care. You're there for each other when the other is having a serious crisis or just doesn't know what to wear with what. Either way, they never let you down.

7. You have no problem being honest with each other.

When you're super close, honesty is always key. At this level, you can take a little bit of constructive criticism or truthful opinions without getting offended. You know that they're just trying to look out for you and want you to be the best that you can be. You should be completely comfortable with this person at all times.

8. You know what one another is thinking just by the look on their face.

When you can tell what each other is thinking just by a look on their face, that's when you know it's real. It's a special talent. How he can tell when I don't like someone is beyond me!

9. You can steal each other's clothes.

OK, I'm probably the one in the relationship that does the stealing of the clothes, but still. He's probably not too happy about it, but what can I say? I just feel so comfortable and safe in that sweatshirt, so you just can't say no! (Oh, and P.S., when you say, "Can I borrow?" it actually means "I'm keeping this").

10. You're always each other's first choice.

There's no one else you'd rather be with. No one else you'd rather snuggle up and watch a movie with. No one else you'd rather do your errands with. They're always there. The first and last thing on your mind each day.

11. You're connected on a much deeper level.

At this point, you know each other like the back of your hand. You always know what to expect from one another. Having someone by your side every step of the way is like nothing else. Just being there with each other is enough. They've been through it all with you, and still love you at your worst. Now that's a connection.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
