Some people believe the more friends you have, the better. For me, though, I’ll choose quality over quantity any day. I want the people who make me happy, and bring out the best in me, to be a major part of my life. So here’s why the only best friends you really need are your ride-or-dies that make up your squad.
1. They’re basically your actual family
Your squad is the family you get to choose. They're there for you like your real family is, and they're not just going to leave.
2. Who needs boys when you have your squad?
Your squad doesn't leave you like boys do. Your squad doesn't flirt with other girls. Your squad doesn't text "You up?" at 4:30 a.m. Your squad loves you, and protects you from those stupid boys who try and mess with you.
3. They always have your back
Some chick at a party is talking the boy you like? That's alright, your squad will take care of that for you.
4. They see you at your absolute worst, and they still love you
Chances are, they've been with you through some interesting times and have seen a lot, but that hasn't sent them running, because they love you.
5. You’re guaranteed to have at least one “mom” in your squad
They really are a cool mom, too. They'll pick you up from a Saturday night party and take you straight to McDonald's without even asking! Sometimes they'll even clean up your vomit. They won't be happy about it, but they'll do it (and make sure you never live it down).
6. They cheer you on
You could absolutely suck so bad at something, but they're still going to cheer you on through it. They might make fun of you during it, but hey, it's only because you look like a complete idiot.
7. You always have a great time together
There's no question that your squad members are always ready to party and have a good time. Whether it's a Saturday night house party, or a Wednesday pizza night with your favorite movie featuring your favorite sexy male actor, you and your squad always have a great time.
8. You can be your super weird self with them
Not even kidding, you can be beyond weird, and it's awesome.
9. They always bring good vibes
There's no negativity when it comes to the squad. Only fun times, crazy dancing, horrible singing, and whatever else brings a smile to everyone's face.
10. You still love them even when they're annoying
They annoy you, and you annoy them, but they're still your best friends.
