10 Reasons Why the South Is the Best Place to Live

1. Southerners are the friendliest people around.
Born and raised to say yes ma'am and yes sir, people down in the South have the best manners around. Needless to say we were raised right.

2. The tea is always sweet.
If you drink unsweet tea down here, people will actually question if you are even human. Sweet Tea is the preferred drink of choice, as it should be.

3. We have the best food in the world.
Fried Chicken. Collards. Green Beans. Biscuits. Enough said.

4. Sports are our specialty.
Sports in the South are an experience unlike any other. College football is king and has the best tailgating in the nation. While the Braves, Panthers and the Spurs aren't too shabby either.

5. Saying y'all is perfectly expectable.
You all? Who even says that?

6.We have the most beautiful college campuses in the world.
The South is known for having some the most breathtaking college campuses. No wonder why so many Northerners want to come down to the South for college.

7. Our sense of fashion is top notch.
If we don't know how to do anything else, us Southerners know how to dress. Southern Tide, Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines are our favorites.

8. Country music is the South's anthem.
If you don't like county music are you really from the South?

9. We know how to party below the Mason Dixon.
Partying is our speciality. A huge bonfire with kegs and trucks blaring country music, it doesn't get much better than that.

10. The amazing weather.
We see all these Northern states having to deal with three feet of snow and we just laugh.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
