We all have our days where we sit on our couch and just watch Netflix until the sun goes down. Netflix comes off as a brilliant distraction from any of our problems by entertaining us with a show or movie of our choice. Netflix offers a variety, from comedy movies and television shows, to documentaries about food. Even with all the love “Netflix and chill” can bring, it can also be a bad addiction. Anymore, so many people say, “I am binge-watching _____ on Netflix right now." We get so caught up on these shows, and act as if we are a part of the cast. Once the show comes to an end, we find ourselves somewhat depressed because we do not know what to do with our lives anymore. We become so dependent on these shows and their story line and begin to imagine it as our own story line. So once the show comes to an end, we feel lost. All the time we spent watching a television show is now open to do many other things. Instead of going out on adventures, we go and find another show to occupy our time with. We are wasting too much time on a show instead of living our own lives. Down below are a few reasons why Netflix can be a bad distraction:
1. Keeps one from studying and doing homework
2. Keeps you from going outside and being productive
3. Too easy to binge watch, which can make you very lazy
4. One episode leads to ten more, and than your whole day is wasted.
5. Relaxing, which makes life seem easier if you just continue to watch the show.
6. Keeps one from dealing with life problems
7. Anymore accomplishments are based on how many shows you can watch, and not about graduating.

8. Netflix gives 15 seconds between each episode, which makes it harder to just walk away form it.
9. "I can't wait to go home and watch Netflix." When we leave the house we think about when we can continue to watch Netflix, instead of wishing about leaving our house.
10. Keeps one from reading books and gaining knowledgeable information
