College students somehow always find an excuse to go out on the most random days of the week- Tuesdays or even Wednesdays. Normally, it is typical to see people go out on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, which are all considered part of the “weekend”. With some classes starting later than others, sometimes it is possible to even go out and not oversleep and/or miss your class.

However, most nights with the heavy workload of a college student, it may not be the smartest move. Procrastination is obviously abundant at college and going out just makes you procrastinate more, and you end up rushing to get a paper done an hour before class. Yeah, not the smartest idea. Your safest option is just staying in, getting all your work done by going to the library, so when the time comes on Thursday, you’re all set and ready to party. Here are 10 reasons which make the library the best move on weekdays:

1. Save money

We all know the struggle of being a broke college student, and on top of weekly weekend expenses, we don't need an excuse to spend more money during the week.

2. Save calories

If everyone knew 1 shot was equivalent to 100 calories, there would definitely be a decrease in drinking habits-- or not, who are we kidding. Or those calories from late night pizza runs, none of those at the library!

3. Get more sleep

Yes, you can stay at the library all night but you're guaranteed to get more sleep if you go to the library and get home at 12 than if you get home from the frats at 2 or 3.

4. Get your work done

You can actually be productive because you are surrounding yourself with other people who are also trying to work. If you start talking or fooling around, you won't last long without being yelled at.

5. You can still be with your friends

The best part about college is you can always access your friends easily, whether they live on your floor or in the dorm next door. Going to the library together or having study groups is the most effective way to learn because you're with your friends.

6. You will be less stressed

You won't be rushing to finish work the day it's due or scrambling to study for a test because you will have it all done by being productive every night.

7. You can go out on the weekend.

By getting all your work done during the week, you're free to party or do whatever you want on the weekend.

8. You won't regret anything from the night before.

Everyone knows that sometimes things happen whether you remember it or not and by going to the library, you avoid that whole issue.

9. You don't have to look good.

There's no worrying about putting on makeup, straightening your hair, or taking a shower before you go out because no one judges or cares what you wear to the library.

10. You're comfier.

Whether you go to the library in your sweatpants or pajamas, you're still the real winner because you're not stuck in jeans or a skirt.

So next time when you are stuck between going out or staying in on a Tuesday, remember why you came to college- to get an education hopefully and remember that each course you are taking costs a lot of money so you want to make it worthwhile.

By managing your time, and not procrastinating during the week, you can enjoy the weekend to its fullest potential and not have to worry about the work you didn’t do. Going to the library when everyone else is going out doesn’t make you a loser or a nerd, it makes you the bigger person and a smarter one at that because you are staying ahead in your college education.

(And Dani Shipley, thanks for inspiring me to go to the library last night instead of going out, you're the real MVP.)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
