10 Reasons Why Gilmore Girls Coming to Netflix is the Best Thing Ever to Happen... Like Ever.

Netflix bingers rejoice, the Gilmore Girls have arrived! As of October 1st Netflix is streaming all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls. Fans can now relive the lives of Lorelai and Rory. There are more reasons to re-watch the series than the number of times Rory and Dean broke up and got back together. Here’s the top ten reasons we could all benefit from a vacation back to Stars Hollow.

1. You need to re-watch it just to understand what they were saying.

With the average script length per episode being twice as long as the average script, it’s easy to miss some of the fast paced coffee talk!

2. The witty pop-culture references.

From an endless stream of band references to TV and Film references, Gilmore Girls certainly packs it all in! You can learn quite a bit about pop culture history just by watching one episode.

3. Kirk

No explanation needed.

4. Lorelai’s Incredible fashion sense… and seriously, has Lauren Graham EVER had a bad hair day?

5. Melissa McCarthy before she got BIG! (…errr I mean famous)

A lot of people got their big break on Gilmore Girls. From Jane Lynch to Krysten Ritter, Seth Mcfarlane to Nick Offerman, and even the stars like Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, I think its safe to say Melissa definitely takes the cake (probably the whole cake) as far as most success goes.

6. Rory’s Relationships

Because no matter who you are, you have an opinion on who Rory should have ended up with. And you will stick to that opinion until the day you die.

7. Emily Gilmore

Because, although, you were supposed to hate her, she is secretly your favorite character. Her sharp cutting wit and elitist socialite attitude mixed with snarky remarks and a general disapproval of most things makes for some pretty hilarious dialogue.

8. Because sometimes you just need a cup of coffee.

9. Because it’s always fall in Stars Hollow.

Why are there no seasons in this town? I mean occasionally it snows, but where are spring and summer??

10. Because where they lead, you will follow.

We grew up with the Gilmore Girls, we became invested in their lives and have gone through their experiences. Because Rory’s meltdown in her senior year at Yale finally makes sense to you. And most importantly because we all want a relationship like Luke and Lorelai’s.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
