10 Reasons I Really Love Henry Cavill
notesfromarmageddon

Henry Cavill has worked his magic on me for the past four years. From the first time I saw him in his half-naked glory to his sexy portrayal in "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.," I believe I saw the light when I saw him on screen. My body was ready and my heart said, “Demitra, there he is. He is a man. He is the one.”

Maybe my story is exaggerated, but in it there is so much truth. Anyone who knows me may know the simple reasons why I love him, but here are the 10 reasons I really love Henry Cavill.

1. His Jawline

There is something about a jawline that gets me going. Henry’s jaw is utterly amazing. Its edges are so hard he could break diamonds.

2. Facial Hair

I’m not someone who particularly likes facial hair or any body hair, but some people can really make it work. His beard is far beyond anything I could ever handle, and honestly, I constantly die and get reborn when I see it. It doesn’t matter if it’s scruffy or well-groomed, he freaking works it, and I have no complaints.

3. Broke the Myth Around Superman’s Disguise

In light of the mixed reviews on the new "Superman vs. Batman" film, one thing was certain—Henry Cavill went above and beyond to prove Clark Kent’s disguise was more than enough. A few days before the New York premiere of the film, Henry went to Times Square surrounded by billboards and did not once get recognized as the man in the red cape.

4. His Humor

In an interview for a British talk show, Henry’s humor was really highlighted to the point where he retold the story of his nephew telling his classmates his uncle is Superman. In the same show, he poked a little fun at himself and mentioned his former nickname without failing to melt my heart and make me feel for him.

5. He’s on my Doritos Bag

A few weeks ago I spied a bag in the local dinning store on campus with a familiar picture on it. One of my roommates bought it, and I made the request to keep the bag once she had finished its contents. What I got was something even better. My suitemates set this glorious bag of Doritos at my doorstep with a fake note from Henry himself.

6. His Slick Napoleon Solo

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I went to see "The Man from U.N.C.L.E," but what I got was a sexy, confident, witty guy who rocked the 50/70s look and mixed work with pleasure.

7. His Dark Locks

Someone once asked if Henry Cavill’s hair was naturally curly. Well, it is. His natural hair is curly, but whether it’s curled or gelled or even straightened in a sophisticated do, I would run my fingers through it a hundred thousand times.

8. He’s British and He’s from Jersey

Now, let’s not get confused. Jersey isn’t only a place on the East Coast, but a small island in the UK somewhere between London and France. Basically it’s another way of saying, "Hot damn."

9. His Superman/Clark Kent

There is something I truly love about him as Superman. I believe Henry really understands the human aspect of who Superman is, making the story of a man who is almost indestructible universally applicable.

10. His Glorious Behind

I cannot handle the gift bestowed upon him by the gods. I literally lose my breath, my mouth cannot stay shut, and my lips never cease to stop my gasps from flying into the air. I am obsessed with his beautiful booty. It draws my attention, especially in his supersuit, but even in his mundane clothing. Henry Cavill’s butt is my life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
