As we all know, pit bulls get a pretty bad rap in society these days. Some countries have banned them, many people refuse to own them, and many further consider them a nuisance, flooding our shelters. If you're wondering why people must ban and loathe this breed, here's a few simple reasons why:

1. They're extremely violent.

I mean, look at the aggression of that paw. Forget the crazy idea that humans alone raise the breed to be violent - it's obviously a feature from birth.

2. They're awful with children.

If you have a family or are planning to start one, you better not get a pit bull. They hate cuddling, and they're not gentle at all.

3. They just look scary.

Clearly, this is one mean dog. I've never seen a breed of dogs smile so hard - it must be an evil smile.

4. Don't even consider owning other animals.

They definitely will not get along.

5. You can never win a battle against them.

A stubborn breed, that's for sure. They rarely ever back down from a challenge.

6. They can not be bothered when they're relaxing.

If you really wanna see a stubborn pit bull - try disturbing one when they're in their zone.

7. They require constant attention and pampering.

Who can honestly keep up with the amount of attention this breed demands?

8. They've got some vicious jaws.

Just look at that bite. So ferocious.

9. You can't cuddle with them

Probably the No. 1 least cuddly breed in the world. It's a shame, really.

10. They're not loyal at all.

I can't even be sarcastic about this one. Pit bulls are definitely some of the most loyal dogs you can find and will have your back at all times.Some studies estimate that up to 1 million pit bulls are euthanized per year in the U.S. That's about 2,800 per day. Anyone who's ever taken the time to get to know any pit bull knows that by nature they are the sweetest, most loyal, cuddly breed you can find. We must end the stigma, spread awareness, and remember- adopt, not shop.
