1. You'll always have someone to come home to after a long day.

After a long day on campus of not-so-fun class time and dealing with the stresses of life, coming home to someone who equally hates leaving the house as much as you always makes life easier.

2. You always have a partner in crime

Whether you need a hiking partner (even if you end up getting lost), or someone to go to the local farmers market with, having a roommate always gives you an excuse to go out and do something fun.

3. You can face the horrors of renting a house together

Having to deal with landlords, electricity bills, and, should I say, "unique" house features (such as a can-opener attached to your kitchen wall from the 50's), it helps to have someone else there with you. Or even when someone pounds on your door at 1 AM and scares the living crap out of you, you have someone there to huddle in a corner with and cry.

4. You'll always have someone to pregame with (and you don't even have to leave the comfort of your own home).

Never fear! Your roommate is here, and she has Malibu!

5. ...And if you stay in, you have someone to lounge/be lazy with

Ordering food and eating it in bed might also occur.

6. If you're sick, you have a built in NyQuil supplier

No one likes going to the store when their sick, but luckily for you, you can make your roommate do it for you! Just give em your best moan and cough.

7. You don't have to study alone

Studying for that Physics class is a lot less painful when your roomie is there suffering with you.

8. You can motivate each other to workout

Lets be real, sometimes working out SUCKS. But having a workout partner makes it a lot more bearable.

9. They're there for you when you've had one too many

When you go out with your roommate, you have a built in safety buddy! You know you're both going to end up going home together, so there's no chance of getting lost, or sleeping over at that one guy's house. You also get to slpit Ubers! (Hooray!)

10. You know they have your back

If you're ever in a pickle, you know your roomie is always there to help you out. Forget your house key again? No fear, your Roomie is here!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
