10 Reasons The World Would Be Better If Everyone Was Bald

Don't get me wrong some people have great hair and I fully appreciate it. Models and actors look amazing when they rock a nice hairdo on the red carpet, but I really think we would all be better without it. It sounds weird because everyone is always trying to prevent balding with medicine, wigs, and other hair treatments, but hear me out, there are some really valid reasons. Plus, think about all the cool bald people out there, Shaq, Vin Diesel, and Bruce Willis. If those three don't convince you, maybe some solid reasons will:

1. First of all, and most importantly, no more hair in food. How many times was a meal ruined when a long piece of hair came out of a burrito? Too many if you ask me. Meals would be care-free and easy without any concern.

2. Conserving tons of energy in showers. For girls especially, showers are long because we have to wash our hair, right? Think about how quick and easy showering will be when you are as bald as a baby.

3. Equality. Not all hair is created equal. It's just a fact. Some people have gnarly hair that will never fit their face, while others get to enjoy amazing natural hair that looks like a commercial. If everyone was bald, there would be a whole lot more equality among people. Sure, some people might look better bald, but you win some you lose some.

4. Hat salesmen would make bank. For all you hat salesmen out there, this would be the absolute best thing. Everyone would constantly be wearing hats to keep warm, and you would be rolling in the cash.

5. If all went well, all girls would look like Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta and all guys would look like The Rock. Now if that isn't ideal, I just don't know what is.

6. Getting ready to go out would be a breeze. Throw on some clothes and some makeup and BOOM, done. No more wasting money on straighteners, curlers, crimpers, shampoo, conditioner and all the other hair products.

7. Think how clean your carpet will be. Whether you live in a dorm room, house, or apartment, your carpet has a ton of hair on it. There is no way around it. Vacuuming helps a little bit, but somehow there are always little hairballs around. If everyone was bald, say goodbye to this problem.

8. You know how in the summer if you touch the top of your head it is scalding? That feeling is gone forever.

9. Don't think I forgot about you, suntan lotion companies. What do you think all these bald people will be doing in the summer when they need to protect their amazingly bald heads? Buying suntan lotion, of course.

10. It would just be amazing to walk around with all bald people. Just picture it for a second.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
