Due to the rising popularity of Netflix these days, "binge-watching" TV shows is a very well-known term. I know I've watched and re-watched TV shows on my Netflix account more times than I can count, but there's always someone who asks "why do you keep watching the same shows over and over?" Well the answer is simple. My favorite TV shows, whether they be your basic teen drama or a more comedic show, have all taught me some sort of life lesson; and among all these shows, "One Tree Hill" has always stood out the most to me. I'd probably have to say it's my favorite TV show of all time because throughout each episode, I took some important piece of information away from it. So here are 10 "One Tree Hill" quotes to live by.

1. "People are gonna label you. It's how you overcome those labels, that's what matters."

2. "My mama says sometimes people have to cry out all their tears to make room for a heart full of smiles."

Jamie Scott was wise beyond his years. He endured way more trauma than the average 5 year old should, but he never let it tear him, or his loved ones, down.

3. "You've nothing to be afraid of. It's just life."

Though it may be scary, it's just life. Live it how you want. Do what makes you happy.

4. "Most people are stronger than they know. They just forget to believe in it sometimes."

All of us have the strength to overcome whatever life throws our way. Sometimes, though, we let ourselves believe otherwise, but that's all just in your head.

5. "Boys can be so dumb."

This one just speaks for itself.

6. "Six billion people in the world. Six billion souls. And sometimes...all you need is ONE."

The world is a crazy place. There are billions of people in the world, all doing different things and dealing with different struggles. There is, however, that one person that we all have, our go-to person for everything.

7. "I am who I am. No excuses."

Don't let someone make you feel ashamed to be who you are. If they don't accept you, that's their problem. Be proud of who you are.

8. "It's the oldest story in the world. One day, you're seventeen and planning for someday. And then, quietly, and without you ever really noticing, someday is today. And then someday is yesterday. And this is your life."

Life will pass you by if you let it. Dream big and live your life to the fullest.

9. "Every song ends, but is that any reason not to enjoy the music?"

Some things aren't meant to last forever, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. Enjoy every moment you're given because everything happens for a reason.

10. "I don't wanna be anything other than me."

Though this was the theme song, the song and the artist, Gavin Degraw, was referenced several times throughout the show, and it holds an important message with it. "Be yourself because everyone else is taken."

Like I said, "One Tree Hill" is probably my favorite TV show of all time. It had it's funny times, it's tear-jerker moments and it even addressed a few very serious issues in our society. No matter the type of episode, you can always take some sort of life lesson from each episode you watch.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
