Summer is here, and it is hot. If you live in Arizona like I do you may not even have the motivation to leave your house because of the horrible heat.
When it's this hot out, we must search for ways to pass the time while staying cool. One of the most popular ways of spending time nowadays is Netflix. Shows and movies are available in abundance and can keep us and our friends and family entertained for hours. The problem many people have, however, is finding the right show to watch. If you need some show suggestions you have come to the right place.
Here are my top 10 Netflix show suggestions for your next hot weather induced summer binge:
1. The Office
If you are looking for subtle comedy in an interesting style, look no further. This show never seems to go out of style, so if you still haven't seen it, it's not too late to catch up!
2. Malcolm in the Middle
This show is pretty old but still hilarious! It co-stars Brian Cranston, so fans of Breaking Bad may be interested in seeing him in a comedy role. Overall, this show is a classic favorite.
3. Switched at Birth
This drama sounded cliched when I first heard about it, but after watching the first couple episodes I was hooked. The premise is kind of cheesy, but the characters are great and the storyline is intriguing.
4. Fraiser
This is another old one. This show is full of intellectual humor and great characters. It's a spin-off of the classic show Cheers, but I feel that it is better and is sadly underrated.
5. Parks and Recreation
Another comedy. Do you notice a theme? This show is similar to The Office in style but its humor is a bit different. The characters are very likable and interesting, making for an all around funny show that is definitely worth your time.
6. Sherlock
This is another drama, and, to be honest, there are not very many episodes. In fact, there are only 13. Nevertheless, this show is amazing and wonderful and oh so interesting. Please watch it.
7. How I Met Your Mother
This show is so funny. I started it not thinking I would like it, but season lead on to season and I was loving it. Take fair warning, however, that the end is unexpected, and in my view, very disappointing. Regardless, I loved watching it and you should watch it despite the ending.
8. The Great British Baking Show
Yes. It is a cooking show. What? You wouldn't binge a show about cooking? You don't know the addiction until you've seen the show. It's good. It's got amazing food, British accents, and interesting people. Try it.
9. Stranger Things
Once again, this show does not have a lot of episodes, but the ones it does have are awesome, and there are more episodes coming. This is a retro sci-fi thriller. Definitely not my genre, in general, but I am hooked. It will turn your world upside down.
10. Friends
Finally, there is the wonderful and humorous gem that is Friends. This show is fantastic and everyone should watch it. Really. It's worth it.
