Some of these items are overlooked but are crucial to surviving being on campus and not in your dorm room.

1. Headphones

Whether they are the state of the art Beats or those cheap white headphones that come with the iPhone when you purchase one (I now have collected two pairs), you need headphones in case you want to listen to music, watch Netflix or watch a video that a professor requests to be watched.

2. Laptop

Cause duhhh! You NEED a laptop just to be able to go to college and you most definitely need it when you make your way around campus.

3. Gum

Cause after that morning coffee and you have that coffee breath you need some gum to cover it up. But just remember, just like in middle school, if people see you pulling out a pack of gum, they might all want some!

4. Hand Sanitizer

This is more of a personal thing, but I always carry hand sanitizer with me in case something sticky gets on my hands. It especially helps when your left-handed and all the ink from the pens you use taking notes, and that was me. I generally get my hand sanitizers from Bath & Body Works! My favorite place in the world.

5. Hand Lotion

This is how I feel after pulling out sweet-smelling hand lotion out of my backpack and put it on my hands! I also prefer my hand lotions from Bath & Body Works, and the biggest reason I like to keep hand lotion on me because my hands get really dry, especially in the winter.

6. Rice Paper

The savior of all makeup, especially on a really sunny day. Rice paper, otherwise known as blotting paper helps prevent oily skin after a long day of wearing makeup.

7. A book

I love to read, so I try to keep a book on me to read on my downtime.

8. A FlashDrive

Cause you never know when you will need a lot of space you will need to save an assignment!

9. Chapstick

Just like my hands, my lips also get dry, and I like being able to have it on me in case I need it!

10. Chargers

I always keep my chargers on me because sometimes I will not be the room for hours on end and I do not want any of my goods to die on me!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
