As many of my friends know me, I am a musical fanatic. I only listen to them, I live them, breathe them, thrive on them. The feeling you get listening to the powerful orchestra and the empowerment from the voices is indescribable. This is why I have brought you a list of some of my personal favorite musicals...so far! Listen to them and enjoy the sensations of happiness, sadness, laughter, and empowerment.

10. "Shrek the Musical"

Not many people...expect that the famous Shrek movie was made into a musical. Yet here it is and might I say, it is actually pretty fantastic! The songs are incredibly catchy, especially "The Travel Song". Look it up..right now. Just do it! Oh, and by the way Shrek is love, Shrek is Life.

9. "Newsies"

This is a great musical with empowerment and a smidgen of romance. And those boys can dance! I give them serious credit for the amazing moves and flexibility they have!

8. "Les Misérables"

Get the tissue box! It's "Les Misérables"! Even at its 3 hour length it captivates you with every moment. There is always something happening!

7. "Hamilton"

That's right! The famous "Hamilton"! Honestly, when I first heard some of the songs I just could not get into it. However, I began listening and listening to them over and over and found myself head over heals for this musical. I love that it has a little bit of history with a modern twist. It's almost comical! But don't get me wrong, there are definitely some heartbreaking moments included.

6. "Cats" the Musical

I have been in love with this musical since I was 12 (7 years now) and I still love it! The costumes, the dancing, the singing, the music, EVERYTHING! While the songs don't really follow a set plot, it's still a very light hearted, fun play to see! I promise, you'll understand what happens!

5. "Nightmare Before Christmas"

While not technically deemed as a musical, this Tim Burton classic is a must see! It will certainly get you up and asking "What's this?". Though I don't understand why there is a huge debate on whether you should watch it during Halloween or Christmas? The answer is simple, you should watch it all the time.

4. "Sweeney Todd"

Johnny Depp sings. Need I say more? Well ok! Demon barber who kills people and cooks them into pies while singing! Personally, I believe it is a great combination!

3. "Wicked"

I saw this musical live in Boston, MA. Oh. My. Gosh. It was phenomenal! The power you felt in every actor and actress was amazing! The plot, background stories, everything was literally perfect. I would see this play a million times and never get tired of it.

2. "Love Never Dies"

All of you "Phantom of the Opera" fans out there may either love this or hate it. Andrew Lloyd Webber decided one musical wasn't enough and decided to create a squeal to the class Phantom of the Opera. After 10 years Christine and Roul travel to America with their son Gustav. To their surprise the Phantom is still alive and still after his dear Christine.

1. "Phantom of the Opera"

Finally, my top number one musical is Phantom of the Opera. I fell in love with this musical when I was 3 years old and I am still today. This is a Broadway classic and has been running at the Majestic theater for 30 years. This is the longest running show on Broadway.

"Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendor
Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender
Turn your face away from the garish light of day
Turn your face away from cold, unfeeling light
And listen to the music of the night"

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
