“I was always an unusual girl.My mother told me I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean.” ― Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey just released her new album, "Lust For Life," and it is truly an album for the generation. We are a bunch of misfits who don't deserve what is coming for them and a respect for the traditions of daydreaming and lost loves. I love this album, even before I heard it. But what got me was the sense of a powerful voice that spoke to me on many levels. Here are my favorites so far, there are much more but not enough time.

1. "Look at you kids with your vintage music

Comin' through satellites while cruisin'

You're part of the past, but now you're the future" (Love)

2. 'Cause we're the masters of our own fate

We're the captains of our own souls" (Lust For Life)

3. Love, I said real love is like feeling no fear

When you're standing in the face of danger

'Cause you just want it so much A touch from

your real love Is like heaven taking the place of

something evil (Cherry)

4. But I still get lonely

And, baby, only then do I let myself recline

Can I let go, and let your memory dance

In the ballroom of my mind (13 Beaches)

5. In the next morning

They put out the warning

Tensions were rising over country lines

(Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind)

6. Time after time

Writing my lines

Having my baby there next to me

It’s so sweet

Pouring you a drink

And pretending that nothing

Means anything. (Groupie Love)

7. Finally, I'm crossing the threshold

From the ordinary world

To the reveal of my heart

Undoubtedly, that will for certain

Take the dead out of the sea

And the darkness from the arts ( Get Free)

8. God bless America, and all the beautiful

women in it

May you stand proud and strong

Like Lady Liberty shining all night long

God bless America (God Bless America And All The Women In It)

9. I just wanted things to be the same

You said you'd meet me out there tomorrow

But tomorrow never came Tomorrow never came ( Tomorrow Never Came)

10. I'm flying to the moon again

Dreaming about marzipan

Taking all my medicine

To take my thoughts away

I'm getting on that aeroplane

Leaving my old man again

I hope that I'd come back again one day

To tell you that I

Really changed (Heroin)

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
