  1. Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow: This shadow is pretty cool because rather than being dry, it’s a cream texture. These shadows are great because they’re so vibrant and they last all day! These run at $6 a pop.
  2. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation: If you’re looking for a cheaper foundation that works well, this is a good one to go with. Granted, the only thing I don’t like about this foundation is the lightest shade is still too dark for my porcelain skin. But still, it works very well and lasts. I believe the price of one of these foundations is $6-7.
  3. Beauty Blender: Okay, this is rather expensive but very worth the money. I used to use an off-brand version from target that somewhat worked, but not as well as the real thing. The real beauty blender is AMAZING. It blends so well and makes your skin look silky smooth. These run at usually $20 each .
  4. Elf Shape and Stay Wax Pencil: This is a great product to use if you want your brows to stay in place. It makes them look very brushed out and shaped. MAC sells a similar product, but as you can imagine it is way more expensive. Elf sells this for $2.
  5. Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray: This is also not the cheapest, but in my opinion it is worth the money. I’ve gone all day at school and working out at the gym using this setting spray and it keeps my make-up completely intact. This runs from $15-31 depending on what size you get.
  6. Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lipsticks: Ah, colour pop makes the list again! I do love colour pop and their prices. I have several colors of the ultra matte lip kits, and they last for a good while. The only downside is they can be somewhat drying, but I feel this is better than spending a fortune on Kylie lip kits. I believe these also run at about $6.
  7. BH Cosmetics Blushed Neutrals Palette: I got this palette on a whim for a super cheap price when there was a sale at Aerie. There’s several usable colors that I use all the time, so I completely recommend this. They have several other palettes by BH if this one doesn’t quite suit you. These run usually around $12-13.
  8. Elf Poreless Primer: I admit, I do own a tube of porefessional which works amazing. But if you’re looking for a cheaper primer I recommend elf. This poreless primer has a bit of a silicone feel which some people love and some people don’t. I personally think it makes your skin pretty smooth and helps with applying foundation. Runs at $6.
  9. Anastasia Dip-Brow Pomade: Okay, I absolutely love this product. I specifically get the pomade because it has lasted me for a year and I use it almost every day. Using an angled brush and this will make your eyebrows look perfect. Rather expensive, runs at $18.
  10. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara: I just got this mascara on sale from Ulta and I loved it right away. It defines every lash and doesn’t make them clumpy. There’s also a waterproof version, if you want to give that one a go. This mascara goes for $21 a pop.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
